Maybell

Born: Oct. 2001, spayed female, short hair dilute calico (4799)

Maybell came to the shelter as a stray, but looked like someone had owned her since she had a flea collar on. She had a wound on her right rear leg that was infected and had bone and tendons exposed. It was thought she was hit by a car. Maybell was cleaned up but needed further treatment and surgery. She was taken to one of our veterinarians and surgery was performed to correct the damage that was done. This left a de-gloved area (open area with no skin to close with). It is now healed and Maybell is ready to move on to find that lucky someone.

She does NOT like other cats. She likes to play with her toys and loves to be held and petted. She will give you an affection nibble, but it's her way of saying she loves you and wants more. This nibbling may scare very young children. While she seems fine with dogs, we recommend a home where she doesn’t interact with them. She needs a home where she won’t have to jump around to protect her leg. Maybell needs a quiet home with loving people that will give her the attention she loves. Are you that family?
