Bashi
(boh shee)

Born: 1995, spayed female, short hair, Calico, Japanese Bobtail (4921)

Bashi is a remarkably beautiful calico Japanese Bobtail.  Her longtime human companion is ill and has to move into an assisted care facility where Bashi cannot go.  Bashi has a wonderful personality!!  She is very friendly and loves to be petted; when you hold her on your shoulder, she snuggles in and purrs.  We all love her dearly; she is a very special girl.  Bashi has been an angel with her foster mom’s cat; they quite adore each other.  She should do great with any cat that is ok with her.  We also think she will be fine with dogs that are acclimated to cats, as long as they don't chase her around.

Bashi’s bobtail looks like the top of a question mark and is kinked in at least 3 places--it wiggles when you scratch her back!!  Bashi now has only two or three teeth but this doesn't stop her at all – she loves to eat – good quality canned food would be essential for her.  In her foster home though, she kept stealing the other cats’ hard food, even when she had her own soft.  Bashi has beautiful long hair that needs to be brushed every day to.  Unlike some cats that just don’t like to be brushed, Bashi absolutely LOVES to be - it is possibly her favorite activity.

Bashi’s name in Japanese is the word for the sound of someone smacking their head.  This is appropriate for her because she is a “head-butter”.  When she is hungry or wants attention, she will butt you with her head!  It is really quite sweet.

Bashi is a VERY special lady cat that will be a treasure to her family; could it be yours?
