April

Born: Spring 2003, spayed female, short hair, gray & white tuxedo with a “got milk” moustache (5052)

April was rescued her from a cage trap that someone had set to catch wild animals. Rescue House was asked to help her out and she stayed with a loving foster family for the last month. At first, she was very timid, but she really loves and craves attention. Although she's still a little afraid of being picked up, she will sit for hours on your lap if you pet her. Because April had been abandoned, she's still a little skittish. She is quite the “people” kitty and would probably be OK with very well-behaved, older children if they gained her trust. She has not let us know how she feels about dogs. We do know she is not too keen about other cats, so we feel it best she be the only cat in the home. If she changes her mind we’ll let you know.

April also has a limp. The vet had said that she burned the pad of her paw somehow during her travels, and that she would probably eventually not limp. The vet also said that there wasn't any muscle damage, and that April
doesn't appear to be in any pain. Also, either because of the limp or her previous experience, she won't jump up on your lap. She'll place her paws on your leg and wait for you to give her attention. She's really a lovable kitty and would make someone a great companion. Could she be yours?
